As for black people who like to complain about slavery

As for black people who like to complain about slavery and how bad their ancestors were treated, they should remember that thousands of good people of all other races stood up and died to set their ancestors free. Some slaves were white! The next thing they should consider is the fact they most likely wouldn't be alive if their ancestors had been left in Africa. Stop complaining about the past and do something to help the future go the right direction. There's been enough violence and bloodshed.

~~~BILL C.~~~
They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.
I can't even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it's important to speak English
except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor
with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.
These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what ? ?
And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.
I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2 ? ?
Where were you when he was 12 ? ?
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol ? ?
And where is the father ? ? Or who is his father ?
People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something ?
Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up ?
Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?
What part of Africa did this come from??
We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa ..
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail.
Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.
We have got to take the neighborhood back.
People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs We, as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.
We cannot blame the white people any longer."
I feel you on the slavery part, Some Black People in America feel they need to be apologized to about slavery. Well whose going to apologize to the white generations whose ancestors were indignant slaves. These people did the same jobs on a plantation that the African slaves did (read a book).
And some seem to for get that slavery was in Africa before it got to America..... I'm not going to sit here and fill up your comment box Ma, but I do agree that some people aren't educated, and its decades and generations later what is "I'm Sorry" going to do for you?
you inspired me to write a blog filled w/ history L0L
In regards to the slavery comment, there is so much ignorance and misinformation in that statement I dont know where to begin.... There were white slaves but a large amount of them were indentured servants, meaning that the slavery had an end date and more than likely generations of their family wouldnt be left in servitude, the comment about how people of other races died to set Black people in this country free...I am assuming he is speaking of the civil war...that war was not fought for the slaves but for the union to stay intact...the reason the confederate states wanted to secede was because of the issue of slavery but the war was not about slavery and the emancipation proclamation only freed slaves from certain states...can anyone say Juneteenth??? And who is to say that if our ancestors remained in Africa that we wouldnt be here? I guess in the terms of miscegenation our make up would be different but I highly doubt that we would not exist.....Now I dont go around claiming I need reparations and I dont want or need an apology for slavery but I do not think it serves anyone to just act like it didnt exist or it isnt important just because it is not an institution today....the effects of slavery can still be viewed in the black community today..is that an excuse for people to not live up to their full potential absolutely not....I dont agree with using slavery as an excuse but i dont see the point in trying to pacify it, this country was built on the backs of my people I am never going to forget or trivialize that. Didnt mean to blog in your comments *sorry* just had to speak my mind
